The Brief is Stratagem’s short form newsletter covering five international stories the major outlets are messing up or missing out on, each in 200 words or less.

Each Brief contains a Bottom-Line-Up-Front style headline, 100 words of pure facts and 100 words of detailed analysis.

The Brief writers describe international events with a level of nuance and complexity that reminds readers why global events matter to their everyday lives. Our writers draw connections from the stories to various other fields, such as emerging technologies, financial markets, violent conflicts, and environmental protection.
